The biggest tournament in the Southern Hemisphere is over and David Gorr is latest man to conquer the mountain that is the 2026 Aussie Millions Main Event. 721 entrants threw their cash at an attempt at winning the biggest prize down under, but only one would take the $2  Million 1st prize.

As always with the Aussie Millions, all the big name Full Tilt Poker players came out to play. Many of them enticed by the juicy high roller cash games that the Aussie Millions attracts. In the money were players like, Patrik Antonius (8th), Erick Lindgren (33rd), Howard Lederer (34th) Australia’s own Mark Vos made a solid run at another final table finishing (18th) plus many others.

With a name like Patrik Antonius at the final table and knowing he has a reasonable chip stack would almost mean you expect the man to take the title, but even pocket kings can be out-flopped once in a while.

Going into heads up it was James Keys and David Gorr. In a battle which could also be named a 1 million dollar heads up game as this was the approx. difference between 1st place prize and 2nd place.

Even through Gorr had a chip lead at one point he slipped away down to a 12-1 disadvantage, but he managed to work his way back to the chip lead once again and capture the title 4 hands later.
